Inspired is unique collection of contemporary brand bridal dresses and sample gowns curated by Helen and her decades of retail experience in the bridal industry.
We look forward to welcoming bridal parties from Blackburn and beyond to enjoy the comfort of our stylish fitting room, complete with dressing area and plush seating to relax in stunning surroundings whilst enjoying complimentary refreshments. There is an underlying theme that runs throughout Inspired and that is we really consider how a bride feels. We want them to be a client for life as opposed to a one-off experience, as the past, present and future is at the very heart of the Inspired bridal story, just like it is in jewellery. We want our brides to return so we can create a stunning black tie event creation, baby christening outfits or even prom dresses from the once worn, beloved wedding dress.
Helen is a renowned jewellery historian and GEMMOLOGIST and with a penchant for bringing garments alive with matching jewellery to suit your personality traits – whether that is the perfect bridal jewellery to complement your neckline and headdress or matching wedding rings to your dress design, access to all the jewellery sold at Ainsworth Jewellers is provided.
The Inspired team with Helen at the helm, will welcome brides and their family to showcase the collections on offer or to work with brides to create a bespoke gown that can be effortlessly matched with jewellery from Ainsworth’s vast collection to style the perfect look for each individual bride.
With over 30 year’s experience Estelle is our renowned seamstress who will turn her hand to alterations and bringing dreams and visions to reality. Unlike most pattern dressmakers, our seamstress brings designer vision and expertise to her role and will play an integral part in the bespoke creations of all our preloved garments.
At Inspired Bridal a very warm welcome awaits. Our dedicated and passionate team spend time to get to know you and understand your needs which is why we always allow up to 2 hours for your appointment. Refreshments will be served and we want you, your family and friends to feel relaxed and comfortable as we discuss your unique needs. We can accommodate up to three guests during your appointment.
We recommend that you bring the shoes you’ll be wearing on the big day to your appointment - if this isn’t possible then a comfortable pair of heels of a similar height to what you’ll wear on the day will work. We also recommend nude underwear and request that you only wear light make up and no fake tan.
Our sizes range from 8-30 for dresses to order whilst our sample dresses are exclusive one-offs. Our wonderfully skilled seamstress, Estelle, is available to fit your dress to perfection with required alterations, ensuring a truly bespoke service.
Alterations are not included in the price and quotations will always be provided.
Once you’ve discovered your dream dress a 50% deposit is required and if you are purchasing a one-off gown we ask for payment in full.
Our sample dresses are immediately available, subject to the time needed to make any alterations and our made to order gowns can take up to 6-9 months to be completed.

Community is at the heart of both the Ainsworth Jewellers and Inspired Bridal Boutique ethos and we are delighted to be supporting renowned and iconic, Gawthorpe Hall Textiles Collection, who themselves house the third largest costume collection in the UK.
A donation of the profit made on the sale of every gown sold will be gifted to the charity and as a lasting legacy of this relationship, brides will also be given Friends Membership to the Hall and will play a part in their archive story with a box used at the Hall labelled with the details from their wedding day.
Our relationship with Blackburn college continually goes from strength to strength – working with the creative talent of the future to explore opportunities and give the students real life experience that will stand them in good stead for the years to come.
